Hmm. Can you double check your P3D.cfg that the setting is indeed 4096? It's called TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD.

edit: Actually upon closer inspection of your screenshot, the texture resolution itself looks OK, but the image quality is poor so it's hard to tell. Try turning off FXAA. Generally I recommend leaving FXAA off because it has a tendency to blur the image.

Yup - cfg showing 4096...

I just checked Comanche for comparison and night and day. Link to the Comanche cockpit photo is https://www.dropbox.com/s/joowvh489vpyx ... s.jpg?dl=0

Let me know - thanks!

It's hard to tell because the JPEG compression is very bad on the two screenshots, but I think FXAA may be your main culprit here. Can you let us know if turning that off helps?

THIS!

I've found this to be true, and let my video card handle it if necessary. I've heard others say that this increases framerates as well (I think I picked up a couple).

I removed the mipmaps from the VC textures, and now even at 1024x1024, labels, instrument numbers and markings are crisp.

When I like to do basic flying, I turn to A2A Aircraft, cause A2A "basic" flying means "complex" procedures.

Hello all,

Same texture problem here ( FSX ) but I prefer no
change my settings because with all other plane’s,
including A2A 172 and Cherokee FSX is running
perfect.

How can I remove these mipmaps? This seems to
be the problem.

Thanks, Bas

Blurry textures with mine as well, even with 4096x4096 and FXAA turned off.
Also don't have any other A2A aircraft as default.
Very disappointing.

I am also having the same issue in FSX. How can I delete the mipmaps?

We will have a definitive answer for why this is happening on some systems and how to address this tomorrow (Sunday). Sorry for the delay.

Thanks Scott.
I've tried all the tweaks suggested but no improvement.
No problems at all with my other A2A aircraft.

Only the ASI and MP/FF gauges look particularly blurry to me. I'm always set on 4096 textures, 4xSSAA, and no FXAA, and enabling/disabling mipmaps doesn't matter. Of course, my eyes are already cloudy, so not the end of the world.

Hi.
I am useing FSXA with nvidia card GeForce GTX 770 , all other aircraft have crisp clear instruments and placards , but not so the bonanza , which i only purchased yesterday late evening for me , and had to uninstall/reinstall , before i could get anything working , but i just cannot seem to get rid of the blurries in the bonanza.
regards alan. 8)

So I also had this issue and this is what I did...

Open each VC texture found in 'texture.v' using dxtviewer - do not change anything just make sure the 'save mipmaps' option is deselected. Save each VC.

This made it better for me.

But then I went into P3D display options and deselected 'View wide screen aspect ratio' and 'show VC mipmaps

Sorry if the options wording is different I'm not on my PC right now, but they are similar to what I put ;)

After this the VC looked so sharp. It even made my Flight1 GTN750 display crisper.

I also use 4096 settings in P3D.

Hope this helps
Jim
