I looked for it but did not find an explanation in manual nor on the forum.
What is the purpose of the two small horizontal fins under the "V" tail of the aircraft and not present on earlier versions ?

And here's me thinking it was the emergency tail assembly in case the V tail fell off!

Re: Bonanza tail
Okay.........Disclaimer first: I haven't read through the book etc., however, I don't believe those are antenna's.
If my VERY OLD memory serves me correctly. I believe I read somewhere (a very long time ago)....that the original V-Tails were known to have a "slight oscillation" during certain flight conditions.
My guess the small "wings" under the tail would be some type of a modification to "lessen" or dampen such oscillations.
Again...........only a guess......I'm sure many with much more experience could give a better answer.
Cheers!

Re: Bonanza tail
Hi.
Info on search showed they are nav glideslope antennas , they are not fitted on all aircraft , that is going by beech owners website , and some pictures show coax type cable connectors going to them.
I will try and find and paste the link here.

Re: Bonanza tail
I didn't know they were glideslope antenna, but it makes sense. In case anybody wonders the positioning, the ILS is notably prone to be affected by the propeller. This is because one of the two beam signals that are used to modulate the amplitude of the carrier is at 90 Hz. This often happens to be a perfect match to the blade passing frequency in many propeller aircraft. Just as an example, if we had the original two-blade prop in Bonanza, at 2700 rpm the blade passing frequency would be precisely 90 Hz. This has been an issue in certification of some aircraft models and/or their avionic packages, and serves as an example why avionics upgrades tend to be expensive and laborious projects when going beyond what's provided by the OEM.
