CH Products yoke twitchy

Post by Curt »

Got a great lead from a tech from CH Products in California. Replacement potentiometers can now be purchased from Digi-Key Electronics. I replaced 2 yesterday and my yoke is back to silky smooth. Part number for Digi-Key is 1040-1164-ND. CH Products part number is REPPOT604. Price for each is $4.28 This number is for the ailerons and elevator pots.

The pots don't always need to be replaced. I had a prop control that was very erratic, sprayed it with DeoxIT D5, and it works perfectly now. This is when calibrating doesn't work. There are other sprays that are less expensive, but they don't lubrcate. Guitar players use this for their volume, tone pots when they get scratchy. I bought mine from a music store in town.

Just thought I'd pass this on !
