I can echo everyone else in saying that coming in with little or no flaps, slightly fast (~80 KIAS over the fence) and cross-controlling with ailerons and rudder does help to mitigate some of the squirreliness. I ran a few laps in a moderate shifting crosswind environment last night and while it wasn't elegant, it was doable.
