Reality XP GNS units
I was wondering, is the V35 only capable is using the RXP V2 GNS units? I have V1 and it’s not working, so I figure it’s either an error, or the V35 doesn’t support V1

Re: Reality XP GNS units
Hello 85chevy4x4,
Yes, at this time The Bonanza only supports the V2 units from RealityXP (they have some new features for button animations and so on). I presume that you're using FSX as the V1 units aren't supported in Prepar3D v4.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Reality XP GNS units
Nick, thanks for the response. Yeah I am using FSX. I actually own the RXP V2, but I haven't installed it. Reason being is because the other A2A airplanes are not set up for it.
Also I've read there are issues with having V1 and V2 installed at the same time, like the conflict each other or something.. and I did the update to my V1 to have the 2016 navigation data so I'd rather not lose that and the GPS in all the other A2A by going to V2.
Guess I'll stick to old school VOR to VOR or use ForeFlight with the Bonanza. Awesome airplane by the way

Re: Reality XP GNS units
Glad to see I wasn't the only one having a hard time figuring out why the RXP GNS530 wouldn't display anything, despite having the configurator and in-sim menu set up properly .
I'm running FSX, limiting me to the RXP V1 units. Are you able to say if this will be "fixed" in a patch? If not, I may need to seek another GPS or sim solution.
Excellent airplane, thank all of you for the wonderful work!

The V2 units work in FSX and FSX:SE just fine, so you're not limited to V1. Just FYI.dirtdiver06 wrote:

Re: Reality XP GNS units
I'm running FSX/Acceleration and only have the V1 versions of the RXP430/530. You can still substitute the V1 version of the gauges by just replacing the 2D callouts in the panel.cfg with the bold text below ("rxpGNS!GNS530" or "rxpGNS!GNS430" depending on which gauge you've set in the A2A configurator). The GPS screens will display just fine in the VC, but none of the buttons will work in the VC. You can still open up the gauge in 2D and use the RXP as desired. As long as you've pasted a V1 version of the RXP.ini file inside the A2A Bonanza folder....and have the "LinkGPS=on" callout in the RXP.ini...then your magenta route line as set in the 2D RXP will display just fine in the VC. Hope this makes sense and helps! I figured it's much cheaper than updating the V2 gauges for the time being. Good luck!
Fantastic job on the Bonanza, A2A! Normally not a plane that'd light my fire, but I just couldn't resist based on all the videos and screenshots. I'm glad I took the plunge.
