Long flights
Long flights
What's the longest flights anyone has done with the Bonanza? I just did a 3:35 minute flight from Calhoun GA KCZL to Jamestown NY KJHW
Re: Long flights
On my case, like 6 hours. From TNCM to Jamaica (MKJS) with some headwind at 11,000.
I have 35 hours now in the Bonanza.

Re: Long flights
My inaugural flight was a ferrying from the Beechcraft factory to Boeing Field in Seattle.
Over 1,200nm with cruise altitudes in the low-mid teens to get over the Rockies. NOT recommended in one go as I landed with only a few gallons of fuel left even with tip tanks. The performance notes (Shift+3) have a bug in the release version where they believe you have more fuel than you do - I thought I was going to land with a 45 minute reserve or so. Imagine my surprise when the engine started quitting over the mountains, in IMC, in the middle of the night!

Re: Long flights
My first flight was a delivery flight from Daytona to my college campus in Eastman, GA. So far, that's my longest. I did an IFR cross-country to AHN to check out the Flight 1 GTN thereafter. I might go for a long cross-country this weekend to really stretch her legs.
Re: Long flights
I simulate a transfer from Germany to the US. I flew from EDKB to EGPC, from there to BIRK and now I'm flying from BIRK to CYYR, 6,2 hrs in flight, about 1,4 hrs remaining.
Calculations in the Pilot's Notes were - so far - pretty accurate.

Re: Long flights
My first flight was Bern to Conington which was around 3h10. Cruised at 10,500ft at full throttle, 2,500rpm and 14gph. Burned through half of both wing tanks of fuel. Cruise speed was around 145kts with 3 persons and baggage.
