P3D v4 reflections

Post by R-2800-59 »

Dear support team,

after several ooms in fsx the last days I decided to abandon Constellation flying in fsx and began to set up P3D v4.

Boy the connie looks beautiful in that sim... And behaves quite well, too.
Now to my point: Looking at the beautiful airframe I noticed that the fuselage doesn't appear in the reflections looking from the interior camera. I think this was done to save fps, I however would love to have this. Is there any way to achieve it?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the fast response!

When I look out of the left window as captain and watch the reflections on my cowling, I only see what's behind the plane on the right side but not the fuselage.
I suppose the fuselage aft of the cockpitsection is not part of the interior model

Ahh yes, that part is correct the sim uses two models one for internal and one for external. To make sure the sim runs on your home PC the full model is not included in the internal other wise for every aircraft you would be using two models.

Additionally, the dynamic reflections in P3Dv4 don't include self-reflection of the vehicle itself R-2800-59. What you're seeing (or rather, not seeing) is basically a rendering limitation of the simulator itself.

Thanks,
Nick
