ELEVATOR up movement

Post by alan CXA651 »

Hi.
Today i decided to check my control movements , which go through the FSUIPC , and noticed on the outside view , that the elevator animation seems excessive in the up direction , is this correct for the connie , as it is almost vertical.

It should be 40 degrees up and 20 down. Does it look like that?

I just checked, I think it looks about right, difficult to see for the vertical stabilizers and rudders though.
Kind Regards

Yeah, the animation seems to match ROB's description of 40° travel up (and 20° down) in my installation too...

Hi.
When i first queried this my elevators seemed to go almost 90deg at one point , yesterday and today it looks to be about 20-25 down and about 50 up , but difficult to tell due to tripple fin , altough i can take screen shots , i cannot seem to send them to your pm rob or post them here , so i did a small twitch video of movment instead.

Alan, this looks good to me. Both the elevator and horizontal stabilizer are rather thick at the rotation axis point, don't be misled by the bottom and top edges of their profiles, they do create an impression of wider angle. The center lines create proper 20 and 40 degree angles.
