Hi all
Recently bought the Connie - beautiful aircraft and keen to get her flying!
I am having some trouble though...
I can only describe it as getting a 'rough idle' after starting.
I get the engines running but intermittently the manifold pressure and revs will drop, only for a second, before coming back.
I've followed the checklists in the manual but can't seem to find the cause...thought originally it may be air temp, but shifted to North Africa - mid twenties (celsius) and still no avail.
any help would be great!!
Thanks in advance!
Tim

Re: 'Rough Idle' after start
Hi Tim.
I have tool tips on and set throttles to 13% prior to eng starts , this seems to get them started and ticking over , not to fast and not to slow , and from your discription , i would say yours are idleling to slow , this will eventually damage the engines with low oil pressure.
Also if idle to slow , your plugs could end up getting fouled up .

Thanks for the reply Alan.
However, after some hunting around, I realised that the automixture setting in FSX had somehow gone back to on - switched it off...problem solved!!!
So really a non-issue!
Thanks all...
