Locked Up Connie

Post by bullfox »

After the update the Connie is locked up. The initial screen loads with the proper image and proper skin, but the program is already locked up when it loads. Its probably not completely loading because the window headings at the top of the screen are blacked out in both DX9 and DX10. I am running Win 7 on an old but stable system with AMD processor and Nividia 970 card.

Also, all other A2A planes load and system operates normally. However, when I try to select the Connie to replace one of the other airplanes the system locks up and just displays the black outline model. I downloaded and reran the 3-17-17 installer twice with no change in outcome. I also reinstalled my old Aircraft Config file that the installer had backed up with no change.
I suspect a DLL file problem but that's just my guess.
Ryzen 7 5800X3D liquid cooled, OC to 4.5 ghz, Radeon XFX 6900XT Black edition, 2 tb M2 drive, 32 gb ddr4 ram, Asus Hero Crosshair VIII mother board, and some other stuff I forget exactly what.

before you re-run the update you need to delete the client.wyc file in
the A2A\L049\Update_fsx folder to insure the update will happen. Otherwise
the updater sees that file and assumes it is up to date and moves on.

Hello,

It would be good to first do as Paul says and delete the update file and then re-run the updater.

Can I also ask what is your saved default flight?

thanks,
Lewis
