Autopilot elevation mouse action reversed after update.

Post by TreeTops »

Thanks for fixing the wonky 3% the opposite way before running the intended direction. Now it is predictable which is awesome.
However, rolling the mouse wheel forward on the autopilot elevator knob gives a negative percentage (pitch down), while the rudder and aileron give a positive percentage/direction.

Its as if rolling the mouse wheel back is lifting the nose, like the action of the main elevator trim wheel, where it should be rotating the autopilot knob right which increases pitch.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

I see Alan already posted something about it just previous to my post.

After some more investigation around the cockpit here are some more findings.

General convention of mouse wheel for adjusting knobs is roll back to rotate knob left, roll forward to rotate knob right.

The following do not follow this convention.
1. Autopilot Servo Speed knobs ( x3 ). Label shows rotate anticlockwise to increase. Rolling forward rotates the knob clockwise increases sensitivity. The indicator and the value should be reversed?
2. Copilot's attitude indicator calibration - roll forward decreases. Pilot side works. ie roll forward increases.
3. All 4 comm and nav radios - roll forward decreases frequency.
4. Engineers cockpit light - roll forward does nothing, roll back toggles between off and on.
5. Engineers cabin light - roll forward rotates the knob anticlockwise to on.
6. Prop feather switches shouldn't have mouse wheel action.
7. Carb air levels - roll forward pulls levers back towards heat.
8. Overhead ADF tuning meter test button - shouldn't have a mouse wheel function. (roll forward presses the button, roll back does nothing)

Was there ever an investigation into these issues?
Item 1. I think is actually correct if there is a gear drive for these 3 controls.
item 6, 7. seems to be fixed.
item 9. Sperry autopilot elevator control is negative when the mouse is rolled forward, yet is positive for the other 2 axis.

Interested in the input of others.
