Hi.
I have been re-reading all the posts , one that sticks out is on auto start , you mention FE moves the mixtures , but engs did not get flooded due FUEL PUMPS OFF , these need to be ON for starting .
I have win7 with FSX+Acceleration , and my aircraft works fine , but i never use auto start on the shift+3 , i let the FE do is preflight checks and have switches setup in FSUIPC / A2A configurator to control this aircraft , as i enjoy the manual startup , which can be frustrating at times , if outside temp / dew point are in the minus figures.
regards alan.

Agree with you. Also first tried the manual way with the same results as with Auto.alan CXA651 wrote:Hi.

First through was that I am too stupid for this and therefore tried the Auto-Start.
As this is a given product feature, at least, this should work independent how stupid I am.
And therefore getting this working is now my first priority, cause my failures on manual starts
could have the same reason as the now not working AutoStart.
Re: No functionality behind "Auto-Start"?
OK. Good to know. Then focus can go to other things. Thanks.Piper_EEWL wrote:Yes me. FSX boxed with Acceleration on Windows 7 64Bit.
Main addons are almost all A2A aircraft, FTX global, OpenLC Europe and NA and AS16. My Connie starts like a charm.
Re: No functionality behind "Auto-Start"?
Let me simplify and re-define inbetween my AutoStart procedure again:
(FSX Automixture unchecked)
1. loading Connie with following Parameters:
- Auto C&D on
- Career off
- Damage on
- all engines in excellent condition
- Fuel half
2. pressing "AutoStart"
- eng.#1 spinning about 15-20 sec. , then off.
3. checking engines = #1 flooted.
Between this I do not touch any switch or control or whatever.
There is absolutely nothing what could be made wrong.
(we remember, it should be an "AutoStart")

Re: No functionality behind "Auto-Start"?
Hi.
Ok , i have just finished an online vatsim flight for the VA i fly for in the L049 connie, i had shut down at KLGA , and recorded my flight , read your post , so did a test on my set up .
1/ opened SHIFT+3
2/ HIT Auto-Start
3/ Engineer could be herd flicking switches , all my engines fired up in order 1,2,3,4 , this happened with FE station/supchger/pressurization all inactive.
4/ I then pulled my mix levers to cutoff to shut all engines down again.
5/ i then hit Cold-Start , to put it back in cold/dark mode.
Now i have my FSX on disc F and main op win7 on my main drive C , to keep FSX away from its default install , of program files(x86) which is known to cause a lot of problems .
regards alan.

Re: No functionality behind "Auto-Start"?
Did you already try reinstalling the Connie? Maybe something did go wrong in your installation?

.dll´s have to be approved on FSX-Startup after Installation?
Also any for accusim?
Re: No functionality behind "Auto-Start"?
Have already heard that. However, all my installations (and that´s a lot) where working up to nowalan CXA651 wrote: Now i have my FSX on disc F and main op win7 on my main drive C , to keep FSX away from its default install , of program files(x86) which is known to cause a lot of problems .

without problems with default install.
If the Connie is the first one which does not, she has to leave my Hangar.

Re: No functionality behind "Auto-Start"?
I have my install on my C drive with windows and I don't have any problems with that. I don't think that's it to be honest.
Are you running the installs as administrator?

Oh man. The only thing I can think of now would be a control conflict but as you've said above you checked for those right?

Have you installed the Acceleration Pack as part of the FSX-Gold Editon
or as a separate add-on additionally to the normal FSX-Prof Edition? (like me)
Re: No functionality behind "Auto-Start"?
Right. But still carry on checking thousands of different things....Piper_EEWL wrote:Oh man. The only thing I can think of now would be a control conflict but as you've said above you checked for those right?

Re: No functionality behind "Auto-Start"?
Hi Gerd,
I think it's worth trying more to rule out an issue with the default flight you're using. To do so, move all the files in "My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files" into a temporary folder and then start FSX. This should force it to load the original Aircreation Trike flight at Friday Harbour. Once this flight has loaded, try selecting a normal departure airport and then switching to the Connie and see if this changes anything.
Thanks,
Nick

got it! Was the german Language.dll in FSX. After changing to the english one
it worked. The problem now is that FSX has two different languages and
I do not know yet what this means for my other installations.
I therefore ask A2A if they can change something for the Connie working properly with the
german Language.dll.
Thanks to all of You for the contribution in helping me finding the problem.
