APPCRASH

Installed the Constellation. Install normal. After selecting the Constellation from menu, loading up normal then when the cockpit appears to load the system crashes. This is what I get:

I am using FSX Gold Edition, Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, DX10Fixer with Cloud Shadows. This APPCRASH happens every time I try to load the Connie. All other payware and freeware work fine. Thank you for any ideas or help.

Hello and welcome to the forums,

How are you loading the flight?

Does your system meet the requirements (as stated in the manual)

Direct X9 all updated?

What other add-ons are you using having you tried disabling them in case you have a conflict?

Thanks for quick reply. I load the default C172 first (everything up and running) then I go to the aircraft menu and select the Constellation. As the connie loads and as the panel starts loading, that is when the APPCRASH happens. I have met the requirements as listed in the manual. I have installed ORBX scenery products, DX10Fixer with Cloud Shadows. I will go back and try to reinstall the connie and make sure the DX9 installer completes.

OK. Success. I discovered that during the install process, that I needed an active internet connection when the installer updated the DX9 SDK. Once this completed, everything now works as advertised. APPCRASH was caused by an incomplete update install of DX9.
