GTN 750

Post by cchiozza »

I configure the GTN750 with the flight1 tool but it does not show up in the VC. Am I missing something? Thanks

Hi.
I dont have the unit you mention , but did you see which gps units are supported by A2A for the connie , and did you follow their instructions to install it .
Also i know i have mine set up in the oldie worldie setup , ie no gps , but on shift +3 if i hit the no gps button , it changes to gps , and a binicale comes up on the glaresheild , with the default gps , if i so wish to have it installed.
UPDATE:- connie supported gps units are reality xp gns430/flight1 gtn650/mindstar gns430/kln90b/ms default.

Yes, I saw they supported the GTN650 in dash but I just wanted to use the 750 in window mode like I do in other aircraft that don't use the in dash option.

The GTN750 will only work in 2D pop-up mode. There is no way to have it show in the VC as it is not supported.

And is it possible to make Connie follows the FPL that is on the GTN?

Yes, however I can't give specific instructions as I don't have the unit. There are several other threads in this and the Discussion forum that I believe have instructions. Otherwise, I would go to Flight1's forums for the answer on how to setup the 2D panel properly because it is not a supported device.

2D GTN750 works same as provided GTN650. I find setting it up to use heading hold vs NAV to work better with Connie.
