a bit miffed

Post by alan CXA651 »

Hi.
Today i did a flight from KBUR to KLAS no turbulance good weather and in general a very good flight , my landing rate according to CXACars was -77 no applause from cabin , yet my last flight i had a recorded landing rate of -88 and i got a round of applause , but the bit that really miffed me was the personal notes saying :-
"I wish i aced that landing... The paparazzi are making life difficult." the landing was very gentle why the harsh comment i am puzzled about this.

Looks like your contract is coming to an end. That incident with you, the FO and the chief stewardess didn't help. :D

Were you side-loaded? That could certainly ruin a landing even with a soft touchdown...

I don't know why you didn't get a good remark. :| Perhaps you're doing too many good landings, passengers are getting complacent in their judgment. You could try giving them a really hard slam onto the pavement to reset their sensibilities. I'd guess 400-500 FPM would be a good starting point

Maybe it had to do with the fact you landed in Vegas and it wasn't 100% perfect? ;)

It wasn't one of those new style runways with the snazzy blue edge lighting was it?

Did it have a big yellow X on it to help you find the touchdown point? :p

I wonder how the engine judges landings, but I'm afraid A2A is going to have a heck of a time diagnosing it if they weren't there to witness it.

Do I get the feeling that your pain isn't being taken seriously? C'mon boys, a little sympathy please.
