I know this is completely subjective as everyone's setups and preferences are different, but are there perhaps any ballpark recommendations for the different volume settings. I don't have a headset so all sounds come through stereo speakers plugged into my PC.
cheers!

Is there any particular sound you think is too loud or having trouble hearing?

Re: FSX:SE Sound settings?
Hi Lewis,
No not as far as I can tell. I do like the R 3350s though! Not sure if I should set the cockpit slider higher than the environment one or not. Big radials aside, I appreciate the fact that A2A have sounds which make it seem like the Connie is talking to you - her airframe I mean - creaks, groans, rattles.
No I was wondering if A2A had some kind of default levels to "recommend" (again, all quite subjective I realise).
I clearly heard Betty calling me hot stuff! ... or perhaps she was referring to the coffee she was serving... Oh well... LOL
Mark.

Hello,
yes it is very subjective. Just play around with what you feel is good immersion for you.
thanks,
Lewis

It is completely subjective per ones preferences, system setup, sound device and such but it might help to hear what others have found best for them. I typically run (FSX & P3D) 35-40 on all except for Voice which I run at 50. I fly multiplayer quite often so sim sounds need to be down just a touch so that I can hear mates on TS. I also find that the Voice (ATC) is hard to hear fully if not turned up higher than the engines, cockpit and environment. Then I make changes to TS master volume so that hopefully nothing gets missed. I'm using a 7.1 surround sound headset with 40mm drivers so the sound is very rich. I also have my PC in the living room where the TV and other noises compete for my attention and this may have a lot to do with my settings.
Cheers
Roger
