How do i set the Course for ILS

I spent 8 hours looking around the cockpit trying to work out how to set the course of the runway but i am stumped any ideas?

As far as I know, ILS doesn't function like a regular VOR (or NDB). You can't tune/centre the needle by rotating the knob/dial. You just have to steer towards an intercept. I don't think the Connie ILS gauge is any different to any other aircraft/ILS gauge in that respect.

However - I often set the course to the runway heading to act as a reminder - nothing more.

Ah ok so i was doing it right all along :)

I set the ILS course on the magnetic bearing dial, center in the captain's panel.
