Pilot waived

Post by bullfox »

Flying the C&S Connie flight 501 at 15000 feet from Memphis to Kingston Jamaica, and I was looking into the cockpit from the spot plane when the pilot waived at me!

I think it's recommended that you get up from the computer every hour or so and take a break, giving your eyes and brain a break. Otherwise you could end up like Alice in Wonderland :o

I did a repeat experiment and he waived again, although it looks like a waive, it could be that he is reaching to the upper panel to adjust something. What it could be no way to tell.

At the risk of more comments about taking a break, I will add that once years ago flying the B377 over the South Pacific in the middle of the night (in FSX). I saw the flying saucer swoosh by.

Hi Bullfox.
Was it the pilot or co-pilot that you thought waved to you , reason i ask , i went outside , and it did look at first like the co-pilot waved at me , but this was not the case , it turned out to be the engineer , operating his switchs or tapping his gauges on his panel.

Seriously though I'll have to look out for that next time, and the UFO thing, I've heard about that but thought it was an FSX Myth?

Years ago, about the time the B377 came out, I was flying from New Zealand to Tahiti FL28, a little past midnight in FSX, and had all the lights out on the Stratocruiser when this flash of light came by fast from the high port side to low starboard. It lasted no more than a second or two. Looked more like a meteor than a flying saucer. Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Years ago I was playing EF 2000 on a strike mission. I had a flight of Tornados coming in on the second wave. Changed the view to them and zoomed in on the lead aircraft. The pilot turned his head to me. I thought that was weird and way past my bed time. :o

I love the crew animation in the Connie and sometimes just watch them from external view for awhile.

While lurking outside Eastern's great silver bird at FL16 to see if I could catch the pilot waving again, Betty walked into the cockpit and announced something that I could not hear from outside. I got a screen shot but not a very good one. She has served them so much coffee and tea, maybe if I lurk outside enough I can catch one of them getting up and going to the head.
