KDLH rwy 27 ils appr in bad vis and high gusting winds

Post by alan CXA651 »

Hi.
I made this short video on twitch , while flying on vatsim into KDLH for the first time , in very bad weather , winds of 252 at 27 gusting 42 in snow showers on rwy 27 ils.
Also when i played the video back , i noticed one of my right engs seemed to have shut down , but while doing this flight i never noticed the eng drop out , it also appears to have restarted , so what ever happened was the work of the engineer , as no faults showed on shutdown , weather this was due to maybe iceing on the engines or not i dont know at this stage.

Thanks for sharing, yep the engine failed at about 3 and half minutes into the video and came back about 2 minutes later. Only thing I noticed by the way was the marker beacons did not illuminate or sound throughout the approach. A challenging approach, well done.

Great video Alan. I found myself routing you on during the flight. You definitely worked your butt off!

Keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down!
