Re: Purdue University Livery
Purdue University is my local airport. It used to be open for commercial service but stopped quite a few years ago because apparently there wasn't enough demand. It's a pretty historical airport (Amelia Earhart was around quite a bit) and while there is still a bit of GA and flight school traffic it's sad to walk through the quiet, empty terminal building now. I've flown on two B-17's at Purdue and try to attend any events they hold.
I was flying the Connie the other night and it hit me - I like to have a sense of purpose when flying and how great would it be to start a fictional airline from poor Purdue Airport? Taildraggin volunteered his services less than a day after I put a post up in the request thread and 12 hours later, literally overnight, he came up with exactly what I had hoped for.
On the ground at Purdue before boarding.
Ready for takeoff with a full load.
Purdue University Regional's first takeoff.
On final at Indianapolis International.
At the gate in Indy.
Unloaded and ready for the next load of victims.
Thanks again Taildraggin, this thing's great.

Re: Purdue University Livery
I came across this tonight and thought it was cool. Connie on the ground at Purdue. They're parked in front of a hangar and the labeled building is the terminal so I'm thinking it was an event of some sort. Where the DC-3 is parked is now a parking lot where I sometimes sit and watch traffic.

Lovin' the paint and the historical picture.
Is the scenery used in the sim custom?

The scenery in my screenshots is a combination of Orbx Global Base, Vector, OpenLC NA, HD Trees, and the Orbx freeware airport pack. LAF was one of the airports included in the freeware pack so it has had a major upgrade over the stock FSX one.
