Marker Beacon Indicator

Post by gnocgnoc »

Hi A2A,

The Marker Beacon Indicator seems to be unoperative, or maybe we missed something?

(Please, have a look there :http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 29&t=63465)

I use the lastest accu-sim update (A2A_Update_10_12_17) and I run it on FSX-SE.

Cheers
Marc

Hi Lewis,

I use the default FSX C172 placed on active runway (cold and dark) then I choose the T6 from the free flight "current aircraft" menu before loading the flight.
I generally place the T6 at parking before launching the flight.

Or I can also load the default flight with the defaut C172 and then once in sim, I load the T6.

I can also save a T6 flight and use it later but in anyways the Beacon Indicator doesn't work.

And yes I've tried several location without any success.

I also experience this problem, after doing an investigation based on gnocgnoc's thread
This is in FSX:A(Boxed) running on Windows 10. My sim loads with the default trike on downwind KFHR, I changed to the ramp at another airport and loaded the sim. I then switched to the Texan which loaded C&D. After a full startup I flew over 2 MB's with no light or audio.
I then immediately switched to the default C172, and with the MB audio selected, received light and audio for both an OM and IM (though strangely no light for IM).

Hope this helps

Marker Beacon Indicator

The navaid can be audibly identified by pulling the IDENT knob on the navaid side of the radio.

I'm not sure if the audible signal of the marker beacons would be heard in the Texan.

Regardless, the light does not illuminate while over-flying any marker beacons.

I'm still trying to gather as much information as I can to make sure this isn't virtual pilot error! :D

Pressing on the marker beacon light causes it to illuminate, so we at least know the bulb is good

Mike found the issue and fixed it. It will be added to the upcoming update/new installer for the new store.

Hi Bob,

Sorry, I don't believe it has. If I remember correctly, we were testing some stuff to do with GPS integration in the T-6 alongside this fix, so I'll have a look at the latest files on our server and see if there's an update we can release.

Thanks,
Nick
