startup bug in new update

Post by tekrc »

this happened after installing the new update saying it added 4.1 compatibility. (which the planes all worked fine before this) so far this happens on the t6 and 182. though on the 182 it is delayed until I start taxi

I know theres some torque when the engine starts but...

I laughed a little when I read the changelog: - Fixed physics bug for Prepar3DV4.1 users

If you install the update for 4.1 but don't have 4.1 installed, that's what happens.

the update looks to see if you have 4.1, and if you don't, it shouldn't update anything.

OK. I don't have P3D v4 installed at the moment so I haven't tested it, I just thought I saw several posts here suggesting that (or that it could be the 4.1 update didn't install correctly)

that would do it. even though I ran the 4.1 update, it didnt actually apply.

though now I'm curious what the physics bug was

yeah I ran it but it never seemed to do anything. was up for a couple seconds maybe then said it was done. but it changed something apparently. currently trying to figure out why v4.1 didnt update like it should have

It was a bug in FSX that LM fixed that caused problems with the A2A (and others) custom ground handling code. Users could not taxi/turn/etc.

A2A updated the DLL to be compatible with the new LM 'physics'.
