EZ-Doc Shift keys

Post by DrJB »

Hello,

The T-6 is a great airplane and so well done. Great job! My problem is one that has come up, but I'm having a tough time finding a solution. I fly Fsx on a 64bit machine and had no issues with the T-6. However, once I installed EZ-doc, the Shift-1 button doesn't work for the T-6. Thus, I can't do repairs. I tried looking on the forums here, but didn't find the solution. Is there a way to re-map the keys for it? Thanks!

Regards.

Hello DrJB - welcome to the forums. :)

By default, shift+1 isn't assigned to a 2-D panel in the T-6. The valid keystrokes are shift+2 through to shift+8. Shift+7 will take you to the maintenance hangar for repairs.

For what it's worth, I use EZdok (v2.5) with the A2A add-ons with no problems. If you need some further help though, please can you let us know which base sim platform you're using, and which version of EZdok.

Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your reply and the forum intro! I am using fsx with SP 1 & 2, along with EZdoc, V 2.5. It hasn't caused any trouble in flight, it's just that I can't get to to the maintenance hanger. I thought that was Shift-1, but maybe it's shift 2. Either way, I tried to uninstall EZdoc at one point, and it still didn't work. All of the other shift - # panels are fine. It's just the maintenance hanger for me. Thanks!

It's shift 7 for the hangar J, as mentioned above. Perhaps this command has been remapped by EZdok. I'd recommend that you go to "options" → "define keys and buttons" in EZdok to check for conflicting entries.

If the command has been deleted in FSX, go to the control settings, and under "buttons/keys" you can reassign it. Look for "Panel window 7 (display/hide)".

Cheers,
Nick

Hello,

yes it sounds like you are hitting the wrong key and or you have a mapping change. The shift + commands are default FS commands that can be remapped, we simply state the defaults in the manual. But if you go to FSX Settings you can change these and remap them to whatever keys or buttons you wish.

thanks,
