Flickering

Post by tkcamp »

Hello,

I just purchased the T-6 for FSX. I am getting a constant flickering every 1/2 second both inside and out during flight. I have tried turning down settings and playing with the resolution. I am running Flyinside with oculus rift. I own the Accusim p40 and Spit and they run with no issues. I have the latest drivers in my 980ti. I have also reloaded the T-6 and have the latest updates. I am not running any other third party addons. I do have MegaScenery

Thanks

Hello,

is your Flyinside all updated? There are still some flickering bugs in the VR world, so you will want to make sure your using what tweaks you can and the latest versions of the software. Flyinside also has its own support forums.

thanks,

Yes everything is updated to the latest version. All the other a2a accu sim planes act fine. I have turned everything down to a minimum in both FSX and fly inside. I don't know what other tweaks to try

I went to flyinside`s forum and found help. Seems the A2A 250 Commanche had what seemed to be the same problem. In Order to fix it, a line was removed in the panel.cfg. I tried the same thing in the T-6 and works fine now.

I am running Steam`s version FSX

My path was: Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\A2A_T6_Texan\panel\panel.cfg

[Window09]
Background_color=0,0,0
indent=100
render_3d_window=1 <---------- remove this line
nomenu=1
type=special

That fixed it! this vr is amazing, biggest leap forward in Simming ever

Since I removed this line everything has been good. The only thing (and this may have been the case before, and unrelated) is that my speed indicator does not operate. All the other gauges seem OK. Any Ideas?

Thanks

You should be fine with the cfg edit I believe, for the airspeed indicator is the pitot tube cover on?

I will try the .cfg edit. I have the same issue except that in the Occulus I see the border of a transparent window flashing as the rest of my view flickers. On my monitor I see the outline of a smaller flight sim window that has the menu that pops up when you press the Alt key.

The strange thing is this did not happen the first few times I flew with the T-6 but it is happening now.

Yes, this was the issue but the fact it worked fine at first threw me off.

BTW, deleting a line seems drastic so I just changed the 1 to 0. Working fine now; VR really shines a spotlight on all the love you put into this product; THANX!!!
