My T-6 was working perfectly in P3D v3.4 and I had run the latest Accusim update. I installed one of the many repaints available and immediately found that my T-6 nosed over with any application of power.
I uninstalled the repaint but the problem persisted.
I could be missing something very obvious though, I suppose!
This is very weird and I have never come across this before.
Any help would be appreciated
Many thanks
Dave

Re: Aircraft noses over and crashes after installing repaint
Hello Dave,
Have you made absolutely sure that brakes are fully released before you try to taxy? Generally installing an update would be unlikely to mess with the aircraft handling, so this could be a coincidence.
For basic troubleshooting, try loading a default aircraft in P3D, verify it will taxy as expected and then switch to the T-6 and try the same thing, making sure you hold the stick fully back as you add power. Ideally use default scenery when testing too.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Aircraft noses over and crashes after installing repaint
Hi Nick
Thanks for the suggestions. It doesn't so much nose-over, as it would if the brakes were on, but it starts to float up nose-down while I taxy, then crashes into the ground.
It does this if I try to fly it from my starting airfield (ORBX EGHA).
So I took your advice and tried taking off from a default airfield (KOLM) and it was fine, no problem. If I then switched back to EGHA it was still fine.
So I haven't got my head around what could be causing this! (So nothing to do with the repaint then)

Re: Aircraft noses over and crashes after installing repaint
Hi Dave,
Do you have FSUIPC installed by any chance? The "float up nose-down while I taxy" thing sounds like a possible side effect of a spoiler axis (or other spoiler command) being triggered via the FSUIPC interface.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Aircraft noses over and crashes after installing repaint
Yes I do have FSUIPC and I had created a profile for the T-6 so I could use my various bits of hardware for the flaps, fuel pump etc using LVARS. So I deleted the profile and created a new one and...no more problems!
So thanks very much Nick! I shall bear that in mind in the future if anything similar occurs.
