P3D V4.4 Frame issue while flying with Smoke

Post by cbramkamp »

Since V4.4 i am facing a massive frame drop when switching from the VC to the outside view when smoke is activated. Without smoke everything is working fine. Anyone else with the same issue?

This may be relevant but I know in FSX that any kind of smoke will cause a big frame rate hit. A couple of examples is engine start smoke or tire smoke on landing. I am sure one of the brains out there has a explanation.

large particle effects in the sim do tend to cause a hit, make sure your effects settings in P3D are not too high and remember the higher settings you have on the GPU for getting rid of jaggy's can murder performance for particle effects.

thanks,
