Landing gear would not lower
Landing gear would not lower
Anyone ever have the landing gear fail to lower. The lever in the cockpit moved, but the gear wouldn't come down and green lights wouldn't come on. Finally did a belly landing which caused an engine overhaul to be necessary. Had hydraulic pressure that seemed normal. Just discovered flaps won't retract and can't start engine either. Got it up on jacks, maintenace hangar says it is fine.

Well I'll be darned. Who knew there was a hydraulic fluid gauge on the shift F4 fuel menu page, and the fluid was empty. Over 100 hours on the T6 and i never noticed that.......

So I guess you didn't perform the hydraulic test before runup? Lower the flaps fully and then retract in stages. If flaps don't stay we're you left them between full up and full down with the flap lever in the neutral position than you have an issue with the hydraulics.
I had this issue before and was lucky enough to catch it on the preflight

Well I guess that was really bad luck then and I usually do the flap check when I'm taxiing out to the runway so it's time neutralbobsk8 wrote: Was in a hurry tonight and skipped that flaps check....

Well, lesson learned, skipping checklist items is a recipe for a wreck which is exactly what happened.......Piper_EEWL wrote:Well I guess that was really bad luck then and I usually do the flap check when I'm taxiing out to the runway so it's time neutralbobsk8 wrote: Was in a hurry tonight and skipped that flaps check....

Yep. That's why they're on the checklist in the first place. But the beauty of the sim is that we can allow those mishaps to happen
