Just want to add my word of thanks for these cockpit texture mods John. It's great to have some different interior options for different paint schemes. :D

Cheers,

Bomber_12th wrote:Joe, I believe all of the examples I've covered use the standard MPH gauge (as far as I recall - the only cockpit I haven't seen photos of is the one in "Heave Ho", though I'm 99.9% sure it has the standard MPH as well), but I re-faced the Knots gauge to look period as well, for those who may wish to use it instead. Some SNJ's retained the MPH gauge, while others had it in Knots.

Also...having seen a recent photo of the cockpit of VH-NZH, it has the original WWII artificial horizon, but I still liked the looks of the modern artificial horizon installed with the repaint. However, I have provided a copy of the gauge textures with the original WWII artificial horizon if you want to install it instead. Note that, as I've depicted, the cockpit on the real VH-NZH is painted grey, but this is very close to how the cockpits of the early SNJ's looked, as they remained overall dull silver inside, rather than being painted interior green.
Thanks for all this info John!

This looks very good. I like the subtle removal of the yellow markings of the RPM/MP gauges.

I'm wondering if it is at all possible to get an old style MP-gauge without all the clutter after the 40inch markings? I like the precision of a gauge with only the realistic range - it's unlikely if not impossible to get 70 inches of boost on the T-6.

Here, for example, in the upper right hand corner is what I'm talking about.
I suspect the underlying gauge physics needs to be changed too, to make the needle correspond to the almost 360 degree arc. Maybe A2A can chime in here?

Although I sincerely applaud the wonderful work of Mr. Terrell, we have to remember that the airframe is a T-6G and therefore totally different from the earlier models and so thus changing instruments and layouts would surely require a totally different airframe. Perhaps I am too much of a purist and have been around T-6s for far too long, but it is what it is. Just my own personal thoughts of course.

Best wishes,

Martin

This is to John and Stiz (if only by motivating others),

Thanks to both of you in making a great even greater... It is wonderful to have the choice. I love the effects and the subtle differences incorporated. I cannot wait to get out of the office and see these modes for real...

Cheers!

Thanks Bomber_12th,

I had been waiting for a highly polished T-6 and your SNJ is great. It is my default T-6.

Thanks
Vince

I can't seem to find these mods anywhere. Does anyone have a filename I could use to search with?

Much appreciated!

Adam.

Check the T-6 repaints shown on the first page, they include the different cockpits.
This is one of them: http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php ... n85696.zip

Fantastic! Thank you very much! Downloading now.

For the benefit of others, the two filename (slightly different) is:
jt_t6_craig_field_v2.zip

Thanks!

Ah, okay. Took it from the repaintlist here and didn't log in to verify.
