I've always loved adding or improving on the instruments to make it clearer at a glance if my settings are "out of bounds". With the T-6 I've always hated having a MP gauge going aaall the way to 70inches. The same with the RPM going to 4500. I've added a few more color markings on some of the gauges to make them clearer and also more fun to look at.
So here is something I cooked up in about 30 minutes. I'm very much an amateur, knowing little else apart from the basic color choice and brushing/drawing new details.
What do you think?

All the Accusim-planes are in my hangar, but they aren't sitting long enough for their engines to cool much before next flight!

Re: Some modifications to the instruments - uncluttering/col
Here are a couple of shots during takeoff and departure at ENAL AAlesund, Norway.
Note that I use the conservative takeoff setting of 30/2000. This is what my pilot used when I had a trip in a T-6 a year ago at Kjeller, Norway. Seems to work just fine on long runways.

Re: Some modifications to the instruments - uncluttering/col
I've done some further modifications, and the repaint is uploaded to Avsim. It's not up yet though, but I expect it's approved in a few hours.
I've enlargened the indications on the vacuum gauge and the hydraulic gauge to make them more visible from the normal viewpoint - they are usually concealed under the "lip" of the instrument panel due to parallax.
I've also made the pressure indicators have more immediately apparent redlines/red areas. This makes it even more clear when having a quick glance if the engine is behaving properly. Besides - I like the colors.
Speaking of colors: The yellow-line at the manifold pressure is as it always has been, but the original black area between the yellow and red is now a shade of orange, making it a sort of "in between".
