Hi there
Bought the Commanche 250 for P3Dv4 using the new store front under windows 10. Went through all the bells and whistles including uninstalling my A2A fleet and deleting the A2A folder in addons before starting.
The installer aborts.
It gets to the EULA and that is it.
Now I cannot fly anything until this issue is fixed for me.
Here is the screen dumps. I'm trying to be patient really I am.

New installer for the Commanche is named:
Comanche P3Dv4 Academic.exe
File size: 206,924,672 bytes
Running the installer as admin doesn't work.
Manually adding the A2A folder doesn't work either.
Seems like a permissions problem.
Thanks

Re: INSTALLATION ERROR: New store front installer CTD
Hello Glider1,
Sorry to hear you've had problems with the new installer. It sounds like something may be preventing it from reading the "add-ons.cfg" file.
Please can you let us know which directory you've installed P3Dv4 to.
Also do you have any antivirus software running during installation, and if so, which one?
Thanks,
Nick

Re: INSTALLATION ERROR: New store front installer CTD
Okay, thanks for the info.
Have you tried running Prepar3D since uninstalling your previous aircraft so that it can refresh its add-on.cfg files? It looks as though the installer is still picking up on a previous install location.
Thanks,
Nick

Yes as per your instructions for installing aircraft from the new store.Nick - A2A wrote:Okay, thanks for the info.

1. Uninstalled A2A aircraft
2. deleted the A2A folder in documents/addons whatever it is
3. did not touch the documents A2A folder that has the accusim data in it
4. ran the simulator and closed it
5. rebooted the machine
6. logged into the new store
7. created a new account
8. linked the account to the old account with the form
9. purchased the commanche
10. downloaded the installer
11. ran the installer with or without admin and it ends at the EULA.
12. Checked whether the installer did anything. There is no A2A folder in the documents/addons folder
13. checked simobjects folder but there is not a single A2A plane in there or anywhere else
There are old uninstalled versions of P3Dv3, P3Dv2, FSX-SE, FSX box that still might have traces left over in the registry but the only currently installed sim is P3Dv4.
Other addon installations have run without problems for example ENVTEX etc.
The point is that only a few weeks ago installed the cherokee 180 for P3Dv4 without a hitch on the exact same system.

Re: INSTALLATION ERROR: New store front installer CTD
Thanks Glider1,
I'll have to do a bit more investigation into what's going on here. To help with this, please can you navigate to the following (hidden) directory...
C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Local\Temp
...Where you should find some MSI????.log files corresponding to the failed installations, where ???? are randomly-generated characters. Please can you send a copy of one or two of these files to nick [at] a2asimulations [dot] com.
Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick I sent you an email about this same bug happening for the Cherokee. Thanks for fixing the Comanche though.

Re: INSTALLATION ERROR: New store front installer CTD
Thanks - yes, I've just read the email and replied. A couple of hours ago we updated the installers in the store to hopefully address the error message that you and one other customer had reported. Please can you try re-downloading and let us know if the problem persists.
Cheers,
Nick
P.S. For anyone else who has already downloaded the new installers and reads this, there's absolutely no need to re-download/reinstall unless you've experienced an error message as described here.

Re: INSTALLATION ERROR: New store front installer CTD
Hello Nick,
I downloaded the Commanche Friday, May 26th around 8 pm (time in France).
Following the reading of the forum, I have not installed it yet.
- Can you tell me if your store was already update with the new Exe or if I have to download it again?
I'm also in Windows 10 as Glider1.
I prefer to anticipate possible problems.
- I also have the C182. If I understood correctly the post of Glider1, I have to uninstall it before?
Thank you for your answers.
Have a nice day.
Vincent

Re: INSTALLATION ERROR: New store front installer CTD
Hi Vincent and welcome to the forums,
After this we recommend you launch Prepar3D once to refresh its add-on.cfg files before you run the new installers. Full instruction can be found here: how to update your Accu-Sim products.
Thanks,
Nick
I suggest you just try running the installer you have already downloaded. However, if you experience an error message, please just re-download from the store as your original download was made before the revised installers were uploaded.vince_l07 wrote:- Can you tell me if your store was already update with the new Exe or if I have to download it again?
Yes, you should also be able to download a new installer for the C182 from the new A2A store. Once you have this, please uninstall your existing version of the C182 and remove the leftover files.vince_l07 wrote:- I also have the C182.
