Won't install to the correct SimObjects Folder P3Dv4

Post by ronkurz77 »

Just bought and tried to install (as admin) the Comanche 250 for p3dv4. It will not install the plane into the proper Simobjects folder and therefore I can't select the plane in P3Dv4.

It does however make a Simobjects folder in the path I choose for A2A installations - but it's the wrong place!

Where do I have to install this plane to so that it will work?

Thx,
Ron

Hello,

P3Dv4 uses the new outside of the root folder for installing add-ons. Our aircraft comply with the P3Dv4 PDK in this respect so you will be installing to either the default location of my document P3Dv4 add-ons or a new location you create yourself for your addons to live. You can have multiple locations but the A2A Add-ons should all be installed to the same place.

thanks,
Lewis

Hi Ron,

Just to add to Lewis's reply, if you're not seeing the Comanche in P3Dv4, it could be due to bug which Lockheed Martin introduced with v4.2. More info including a temporary workaround here.

Lockheed Martin have stated that they'll fix this issue with a future update and forthcoming A2A installers will also address the issue.

Thanks,
Nick
