Engine Configuration

Post by sinflrobot »

I was browsing the aircraft.cfg file because I was wanting to change the engine to simulate the 180hp comanche for some performance tests. When I got in there, I notices that the engine was currently setup with the proper 250 hp, but the cylinder settings were four 80cu in cylinders making it a *really powerful* O-320. Was this an oversight in the aircraft or is there a reason for the cylinder discrepancy?

Hello,

and welcome to the forums. The basic simulation cfg's and modelling are basic that only allow relaxed realism simulation, for our professional Accu-sim line simulations we use our own simulation engine external to the platform for a bunch of modelling. This is why certain things are set a certain way for correct interface with the platform. We do not support or encourage the editing for these files as if they where a default aircraft due to potential unforeseen issues including the loss of all fidelity of the simulation.

thanks,
Lewis
