STEC-30 Alt Hold - out of synch with trim.

Hi Folks,

I'm sure this is something with my setup - after a bit of a break - having some trouble to with the STEC Alt Hold - whenever I engage or disengage the Alt Hold - I need to throw in - massive amounts - of trim to compensate for the change - on or off... I'm still on P3Dv3 and I am one version behind the latest update... The aircraft is trimmed for level flight prior to engaging autopilot...

Any ideas ? I don't recall having this issue before...

Thanks...

Regards,
Scott

Hmm, that's strange... after you have trimmed out the alt hold, what happens when you disconnect the AP? Does it still hold level flight?

Hi...

Thanks so much for responding...

Yeah - as soon as I disconnect - I had massive altitude excursions as if the aircraft is far out of trim... I even tried the couple of FSUIPC options regarding the autopilot...

I think I may have figured it out - my mechanical trim wheel on my joystick must have been knocked out of place - I think it may have solved my issue - lol - it took a while to figure out... I'll test again tonight just to make sure...

Scott

Hi Lewis,

Thanks for the concern - all good - I suspect that accidentally having my joystick's Y axis mechanical trim wheel out of the center detent was the culprit - my Comanche is flying like a dream again...
