Reloading Flight In Progress-Error Message from P3D V4

Post by triflyman »

Have done three flights in V4...using the Connie, PA 24-250 and the MJ C-47 Beta. With the Connie and PA 24-250, if I save a flight in Progress and then later load the flight again I get the following error message from P3D V4:

"There was a problem deserializing the panel state while loading a scenario or checkpoint. This could be caused by a change in serializable plugins or a corrupted file. Consider removing the .pnl file or resaving to generate a new one."

I did not remove the .pnl (would loose my flight) but did resave it as another name...same result. This does not occur with the MJ C-47 nor any of the default aircraft.

So what happens when I reload is I have many more items in the VC to re-set, including the RPM's, which used to not be.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Thanks for the prompt reply...

Forgot that was there so turned it off as suggested. It did get rid of the notice but made things much worse...lost all set items from the save including Pressurization, Supercharger Boost, Cabin Heat/Cooling control and more. Engines went to full takeoff power and aircraft went into a 2,000fpm (or more) dive. At least with it turned on the re-load kept most of the items so was easier to deal with.

As I said, with MJ's C-47 Beta I keep most everything, just a couple of switches I have to activate.

Any other help you can think of?

Yes, remember some settings are from your default flight and also to save and try a different save not the same one that could be corrupt.

Thanks...I have been testing several saves with new file names but always same result.

Are you saying that when I save a flight in progress I should save it as the default flight?

Hello,

no, never use the default flight, but if you have a non-standard default flight that could indeed be the issue.

I didn't think so.

I only use the P3D default flight to load first...than once it's loaded I go to the pull down menu and load my saved flight. At this point I'm better off just getting the error message and continuing from there and not turn it off in the P3D settings. There must be something in these two aircraft that P3D doesn't like that causes the error message. Would be nice if you could find time to look into it to see if a change could be made. I know it's a low priority since it's just a nuisance, not something critical.

Thanks,

Hello,

its the setting being on thats trying to cause the issue as its trying to force settings that dont exist.

Ok...understand. I guess I should than change this post to a request for an added feature in these A2A aircraft, plus the Strat when it get re-done for P3D V4, to have whatever P3D is looking for available so that we could save a flight, come back and reload that flight and have everything...or at least the important items... set the way they were when we saved.

Thanks,
