P3Dv4 Input Configuration

Post by Blitzer »

Hi,

I think this may be a bit of a old issue, but thought I would post this anyway to see if it provides any further insight or if anyone can advise of a fix/workaround...

Firstly I need to point out I have FSX:SE and P3Dv4 (recently added) both installed and working and for both I have the Comanche and Connie installed and working. For a controller I am using a Logitech G940 a three part setup consisting of flight stick, separate throttle and pedals, all of which plug in to each other then into the PC via a single USB connection.

The mixture and prop setting are configured via FSX or P3D respectfully as are the majority of buttons etc I want to use. I don't have many controls set up via the A2A input configuration program, but those I do have set work just as expected when flying in FSX:SE.

I do have the rx axis of the joystick is set to control the AP roll via the input configurator, works fine within FSX, but is detected as the rx axis of my throttle in P3D effectively overriding the propeller setting assigned in the simulator. If I change this in the configurator from joystick to throttle it then does the opposite - works correctly in P3D but creates the same problem in FSX. :?

Do FSX and P3D share the same configuration file for these inputs?
If not can anyone advise what and where the configuration file is for P3D for manual editing?

Seeing similar issues with the Connie, essentially input configuration set against my throttle are assigned to the joystick in P3D. Essentially in one sim it work in the other it is broken. The only other alternative would be not to use the configurator at all, but this may not be possible for all functions.

Any feedback much appreciated.

Paul

I guess the lack of any feedback just suggests it's broken and is unlikely to be fixed. Anyone know where and what file contains the Joystick mappings so they can be edited manually? :?:

Hello,

the settings are shared across the sim platforms. In P3D however there are settings such as direct and raw input which could affect things like this.

thanks,
