Heading Indicator not working

Post by deansalman »

I wondered why P3D V4 was always wanting me to fix the heading. I see why now, it does not move. I changed in flight to the C182, that works fine. I did the auto start to be sure everything was on, even though this is a gauge. Did not try V3 of P3D to see if version 4 is the problem. any ideas

Have you checked the "HSI TURN COOR" circuit breaker? (it's over near the primer.)

Cheers,
Nick

That was the problem, I guess Auto start does not engage that. I need to read how to use the AP on this. Not sure why when AP is turned off the trim is all the way up when I did not change it. Another issue so will end it here, thanks

Hello,

no the auto start will not pre-flight the aircraft for you, so you'll still need to check the basics.

thanks,

Good to hear the HSI issue was resolved without too much trouble. :)

Yeah - probably best to start a new topic for that issue if it persists. The S-TEC System 30 autopilot in the Comanche doesn't have an elevator trim servo, so shouldn't be affecting pitch trim at all.

Thanks,
Nick
