Hi Gang,
I had to reinstall Piper Commanchie due to a fatal error with FSX. Maybe it's about time to jump ship and go to P3D v4 when it comes out.... Anyway back to my original question , does anyone know how I might go about resetting my techometer to reflect the original amount of hours I had before the re-install of FSX..?
Thank you,
Comanche Tachometer

Hello,
when you reinstalled did you save any of the .dat files for your aircraft?
thanks,
Lewis

Negative. Where would the file be located that records the total time on the engine..? Once the fatal error occurred, I just basically started over from scratch...Lewis - A2A wrote:Hello,

Lewis is referencing the file(s) where that data is stored.

Re: Comanche Tachometer
Just to add a bit more info, the "Comanche250Log.dat" file can be found in the following location: "My Documents\A2A\FSX\Comanche250".
Actually, I don't think it's removed as part of the uninstall, but maybe a blank copy was created when you reinstalled. You could check if there are any of the ".bak..." versions which predate your reinstall, and if so rename them to replace the current .dat file.
Cheers,
Nick

Re: Comanche Tachometer
Nick is correct its not removed, so its all dependant on how you removed and reinstalled your sim.

Lewis

Re: Comanche Tachometer
Ok I see the files there, can't read them however, even when you do a complete overhaul of the engine, the tech goes back to "0"...
So the question is/was when I did a reinstall, from scratch it wiped the time out completely....

Re: Comanche Tachometer
It shouldn't have done. Does the "date modified" time stamp on any of the files predate the reinstall?
