Cannot read gauges, etc

I have been running FSX on laptops for seven years and never had any problem with running the program and many add on's fairly close to the limits. I don't fly online but poodle about in my own virtual world.

The caveat is of course that the specs of the laptop need to be fairly good.

My first laptop had an intel pentium which to me at the time was quite 'upmarket' but it did the job ok and I never seemed to have the big problems that I read of others having with much better systems than myself. I have had problems but always because of my lack of knowledge of computers.
I am from the days of BC (Before Computer)

I have only just dragged myself out of the 'dark ages' and recently got myself a machine with i7 (wow!) and win 10 mainly because I know that in a few short years there may no longer be the support around for my older systems which by the way still run FSX fine.

As has already been intimated I think that if at all possible a new machine is the best way to go and in my experience laptops are fine.
