Hi guys,
I have purchased this great aircraft, but have noticed that as I loaded the scenario in Prepar3d, my aircraft has no wheels on the runway. However everything else is perfect.
The Comanche is sitting on the runway and all looks ok, apart from it does not have any wheels at all.
Please could you help me? as it is spoiling my purchase - what do I need to do to add the wheels to my aircraft?
Many thanks
Jonathan

Re: My Comanche has no wheels!!!!
Hi Jonathan,
Wheels are an optional extra and can be purchased in the A2A Store.
Just kidding! Do you happen to use EZdok or the new FSFX ChasePlane add-on or similar?
Thanks,
Nick

Re: My Comanche has no wheels!!!!
Have a look at the little PDF download I linked at the top of this topic. Assuming you're using the most recent version of EZdok, it's basically a case of restoring the "HotKeySelect = 4" line to the "[CameraDefinition.0]" section in the aircraft.cfg file.

Nick

Re: My Comanche has no wheels!!!!
It should be a pretty straightforward edit Jonathan - you just need to use a text editor such as the default Windows 'Notepad' to open the file and add the line as described. If you have any doubts, make sure you back up the aircraft.cfg beforehand.
Let us know if you have any problems.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: My Comanche has no wheels!!!!
You use P3D v.3 right? If so, you want to go to...
C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\SimObjects\Airplanes\A2A_Piper_PA24_250_Comanche\aircraft.cfg
...Assuming you used the default installation path.

Hi Nick.
When I clicked on the path, the notepad opened and I can see that the Hotkey select line is already there???
What do I do now?

Re: My Comanche has no wheels!!!!
Maybe there's another issue with your installation of EZdok Jonathan - is it a new installation of the software?
Also, which version of EZdok are you using?
Thanks,
Nick

Re: My Comanche has no wheels!!!!
I have just checked another aircraft.
The Bonanza has a chunk missing under the propeller at the front. And also no wheels and the whole of the back tail section missing???

Re: My Comanche has no wheels!!!!
Okay, that sounds like it's v.1.18 (v.2.0.0.6 is the version number of the "EZCA Config" utility). If you install and configure EZdok properly it will remove the "HotKeySelect" entry from the aircraft.cfg file, so it sounds like something hasn't been set up properly.
Afraid I can't tell exactly what the problem is, but did you install using the Flight1 wrapper? If you just reinstalled the software using the .exe file that the wrapper unpacks, this may explain your issues.
Cheers,
Nick

Re: My Comanche has no wheels!!!!
Oh no I'm not sure Nick.
should I delete it and re-install?
How do I ensure that I delete it all without leaving traces?

Re: My Comanche has no wheels!!!!
Just uninstall in the usual way (via the Windows add/remove programs dialog) and then restart your PC. Then when you reinstall, make sure you run the original Flight1 wrapper you downloaded at purchase.
Once you've reinstalled the software and run the "EZCA Config" utility, you should see that the "HotKeySelect" entry has been removed from the aircraft.cfg, so you'll need to re-add it as described.
Good luck!
