Is Reality XP GTN650/750 compatible?

Post by divinglyc »

Hi! I own the Comanche 250 and I am thinking of getting a better GPS/NAV other than the default Garmin GNS 400 (it's way too simplified)..
I am considering Flight 1 GTN 650/750, Mindstar GNS 430/530 or Reality XP GTN 650/750(because I also flight XP 11).
I know the former two is compatible with A2A, but because I also fly XP 11, I favor RXP one. I am wondering if I can use flawlessly on the A2A with RXP GTN 650/750?
Thanks!

Hello,

At the present time, the RXP GTN units aren't officially supported in the Comanche but it should be possible to integrate them successfully. For more info, please can you let us know which host simulator you're using the Comanche in?

Thanks,
Nick

Thanks a lot!
I am using P3D V4.3(maybe v4.4 later) for the Comanche 250.

Okay, thanks.

Have you tried looking through some of the posts in the excellent RealityXP support forums on Avsim? I recommend the 'official panel configuration mods' topic as a good place to start.

Thanks,
Nick

You're very welcome - happy to hear you're sorted for now, and as mentioned, we do plan to add further 'official' third party GPS options in future.

Hello, I'm sorry if I'm resuming this topic. I just bought the RXP GNS 750 for FSX to use on the Bonanza. I have the V1 on the Comanche. How could I put the new one on the Comanche. The topic posted above seems to offer solutions for P3D only

Thank you

Very simple. Install the F1 product and then use the RXP replacement tool to replace the F1 GTN with the RXP unit.

Okay, thanks. It works now almost perfectly. The home and direct to buttons don’t work but that’s not a major loss. The weird thing is that on the Bonanza the touch screen doesn’t work in the Virtual cockpit. Only in the pop-up

Just an FYI, my "home" and "direct to: don't work either but the touch screen does work perfectly. Makes sure the "no bezel" box is checked when installing it. Only other thing I can think of is to fool around with the size of the unit.
