Hi guys,
I have used the Comanche in FSX Steam edition for a lot of hours. I've snapped up the Comanche in P3Dv4 but I've noticed it takes a lot more power to begin taxi. Only needed around 1000RPM to taxi in FSX but in P3D I need about 1500 RPM to get going and if I idle it back to 1000 the aircraft will eventually come to a halt?
Is the ground friction model different? Interested to hear what other peoples experiences are?
Cheers
Sid

I haven't felt any difference with the Comanche...sidfadc wrote:Hi guys,

All the Accusim-planes are in my hangar, but they aren't sitting long enough for their engines to cool much before next flight!

Check the maintenance hangar for any issues and double check control calibrations, axis sensitivities, null zones, etc.

It is EXACTLY the same as V3. Placebo? Or perhaps you have changed something? FSUIPC?sidfadc wrote:Hi guys,

Re: Ground friction model different in P3D
I only have the unregistered version of FSUIPC5 at the moment which doesnt have axis calibration so everything is configured in the sim itself. I didnt have v3 of P3D, I've jumped ship from FSX Steam. I'll keep troubleshooting and report back but something feels a little off to me.
Re: Ground friction model different in P3D
Doesn't Windows have axis calibration and I'm sure there are axis settings in P3D to check into.

Re: Ground friction model different in P3D
I use the Saitek rudder pedals. Not changed any calibration settings in Windows since I installed P3Dv4 because they were set for FSX. I'll take a look, not had chance to troubleshoot yet. Life getting in the way!
Re: Ground friction model different in P3D
P3D settings are completely independent of FSX.

Yes I would think some of this is just control difference between sims. As real as a software can be remember the controls and setup can differ make the feel totally different.
