Hi guys
I'm seriously missing my GTN750 in P3Dv4! Until its updated I'm stuck with the default GNS400 in the Comanche. Trouble is I can't seem to create a flight plan, not sure if its me or a bug. From my previous experience I hit the FPL button and then click the knob in the bottom right which allows me to enter waypoints? Trouble is when I press the knob in the bottom right nothing happens? I can enter direct to waypoints using this method but can't seem to create a flight plan from scratch. Also when I hit the menu button I just see a prompt which says [no options].
I've just googled a how to and watched the guy in this video who clicks the knob in the bottom right but this isn't working for me.
Can anyone help?
Cheers
Sid

Its the default GPS so the flight plan is set in the sim itself.

Re: Creating flight plan with GNS 400
doh! Its been so long since I used default anything lol!
So in the Sim flight planner I can set origin/destination but can't see to select any waypoints/vors/airways? Is this correct?
EDIT: its ok figured it out....urgh! Give me back my GTN750. Oh well going to fly /A for a while I think.

Hi Sidfadc, sorry for a quick hijack. I've never purchased any 3rd party GPS's. Would you recommend the GTN750 then once it's updated to V4, just wondering if it's worth me getting one?sidfadc wrote:doh! Its been so long since I used default anything lol!

I also have this GPS input problem....
I read that you have solved it... Could you please help me out?
So it seems we can only edit it from the P3D flight planner, right? We cannot just make a new flight plan or edit it from the GNS 400 from the plane?
I also have [no options] when hitting the "Menu" key.
Or where can we get the manual of it? Thanks!!

Hello,
if you are just using the default unit it you will want to refer to the FSX manual for its GPS use.
thanks,
Lewis

Re: Creating flight plan with GNS 400
In that case your P3D manual or documentation for ow to use the GPS, but its a pretty basic unit that comes with FSX/P3D.
thanks
