A more conventional repaint from me

Post by geopetlas »

For this paint I decided to try something a bit different.

As always, suggestions, comments, tips are welcome;

A bit of metal-flake anyone?

Looking at these pics reminded me that I forgot to remove the chipping paint from the tip tanks!

Well, back to the Photoshop.

That looks great. It's a bit different from the usual civilian schemes. :D

Very nice. VERY...

How about a black surround around the glazing? Would offset the spec wonderfully.

Thanks for the comments, guys.

Mallcot, pardon my ignorance but I don't know understand what you mean by "a black surround around the glazing"
Could you lead me to an example.

Probably the window frames should be black. [WINKING FACE]

I like it but I think I'd prefer it with white wings, for me personally the lighter dull blue doesn't go with the white and brighter royal blue. The pattern livery itself though is beautiful, very modern.

When I first started with this paint I had for a while vacillated between white wings or the blue-grey.
I went with the latter.
Lewis, my friend, you were right.
The white wings look far better in this paint.

George, that is a fantastic paint! The white wings are very striking and attractive when paired with the spec!

I think what Malcott was suggesting was a thin black outline of the windows outside, as a way of setting them apart from the spec?

Outline around the windows, hmm.

I'll give it a go.

George,

Something along these lines:

That type of refractive paint is less resilient and elastic than other types, so it's quite common to cover it in areas subject to high wear or scuffing - doors, window surrounds that kind of thing.
Don't think I've seen a Comanche repaint with dark window surrounds but the TB-20 illustrates perfectly.

OMG love it, the black outline reminds me of the new Airbus which I love exactly because of the black cockpit lol 8) For the airbus anyway give its that star wars empire/vader look hehe
