Great level of detail...

Post by gulredrel »

... at least I think so
Never noticed before but today I had an close eye on the oil pressure gauge doing the prop cycle on runup.

Starting at 1600rpm oil normal:

Pulling the prop lever out, the oil pressure drops a little...

... and stabilizes back to normal after the prop reached the governing stop.

Thanks A2A. Even after long time having the planes, you can always discover something new. Last flight, I had a broken left landing light which I found during preflight. After rechecking if the switch was set and no fuses poped out a visit in the maintenance hangar fixed it.

Photobucket downsizes the images... Which free image hosting service does not change the size?

I hadn't noticed that. Good pick up. It's logical, I suppose, given the prop governor is driven by oil from the motor. Yep, it really is something when you find new stuff in a plane you've had for months. Love the Comanche!!

Cheers,
Mike
