My first repaint - the flying Mystery Machine

Post by robmcr »

A touch of flower power with a fan-art tribute to the Mystery Machine from the Hanna-Barbera/Warner Bros. Scooby-Doo franchise. A fellow A2A Comanche flyer nickname Shaggy mentioned the idea last week on a Twitch stream and so I got my crayons out, read a bunch of posts from all the awesome repainters on here and after some head-scratching here she is SH-466Y.

PS: Can any repainters out there give me a clue as to where on the paintkit are the tiptank nav light farings and what I guess is a vent next to the top beacon please.

Awesome!! I will definitely run this if you make it available.

As far as your questions, I haven't started on this paint kit yet so I can't help :(

Thanks for the comments everyone. It's still a WIP a few things to tidy up. The SH-466Y is probably going to remain an exclusive for my buddy. However, I have changed the tail and reg' to SC-008Y which, when it's complete, I'll post a link in the Finished Repaints of the forum. Thanks again for the kind words.

I'm assuming you managed to find the nav light fairings by now, but just in case, here they are highlighted in red and green:

Peace Out Man! Fly this paint scheme in and around San Francisco in the 60s & 70s. The Hippies would of loved it!

Keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down!
