Simflyer GNS 480 Add On?

Post by barracudamuscle »

Hello,

Im new to the A2A board, fairly new to P3D coming from the long lineage of FS 95 and up. I was wondering If I purchased the Simflyer GNS480 package if the Comanche would support it? It says I can edit the panel.cfg settings to make it work but I dont want to buy it if its not going to work properly. Or if you know of any better venders for the 480.

Trying to somewhat duplicate my real comanche 27P a 65 260 with GNS 480, Stec 60-2, EI engine monitor.

Thanks for any advice!
Pat

Those old gauges only work with 2d panels. The a2a planes have 3d gauges so it will never look right.

Hello Pat,

for FSX the options for in cockpit integration are;
Mindstar GNS 4/530
RXP GNS 4/530
Flight1 GTN 6/750

for P3D the RXP option is removed as it doesnt work on the P3D platform.

thanks,
Lewis

Incorrect information. All SimFlyer gauges work in 2D or 3D view.

I tried to add the SimFlyer Bendix 550/KLN94 stack to the P3D C182, without success. SimFLyer provides instructions on how to place gauges, but with my limited understanding of the panel.cfg protocol, I don't see how to place the gauges so they appear instead of the default GPS. When I load the plane, I can a clipped region of the 550, but it appears only within the cutout in the panel bitmap where the GPS is inserted. Does anyone have any tips, or hopefully a panel.cfg configured with these gauges?

thanks

We only support the third party GPS units as noted in the manual which can be integrated into the VC using the included aircraft config tool.
