Cabin vent stuck in 182

Post by Heronjr »

For some 2 or 3 months I did not fly my FSX C182. I don't have the P3D C182. My last A2A update is from Sep-2018. Of course, during this time, I applied some other changes to my scenery, GSX, F1 GTNs, weather and Navigraph updates.

Back to the C182, which I love, I made some VFR flights and noticed that the cabin vent lever is fixed some 1 to 1.5 inches out. I can move it in and out, but it returns stubbornly to its "original" position. The other levers (heat, throttle, propeller, mixture, etc) all work well.

I have SPAD.Next, but the cabin vent behavior is the same with SPAD on or off. Using the Controls Panel (ALT-3) the Cabin Vent () indicator is always ON. If I click on it, the lever goes off and returns to ON immediately.

The C172 is having the same behavior.

Any Thoughts?

Regards,
Heron

Hello,

check your control mappings as it sounds like something you are using is setting this for you.

thanks,

Hi Lewis,

Bingo! Checked my A2A mappings in FSX\A2A\Tools and found Cabin Vent enabled in both 182 and 172. Disabling the item, the behavior is back to normal, controlled only by the SPAD.Next.

The 1 million dollar question is what could have changed this item in the configurations map. I swear I do not touch these kind of witchcraft tools for perfect planes like these from A2A.

Thanks for the support. Best regards,

Heron
