I bougth recently both the A2A C172 for P3D and A2A C182 for fsx Steam and P3D.
with P3D both airplanes crashed immediately by turning to the left right at the take off.
Fortunately enough, the C182 works fine with FSX !
The P3D is the V4 version!
what can I do to have your product working correctly with p3d?
thanks in advance

You will also need to apply right ruuder as is the proper procedure with these aircraft.

I will follow your advice and I will download the update.
On the other hand why do I have to download this after having ordered and received
A fresh new product?
About steering right, I tried this naturely because this is something you will do by reflex,
But then it becomes completely uncontrolable.
If it would have been like this in reality, the company who produce the Cessna would have been
bankrupt quickly

Re: crash at take off with C172 and C182
Welcome to reality!
Believe me, you need to apply right rudder and quite a substantial amount of it on the takeoff roll and intial climb to maintain control in any single engine prop aircraft. You will quickly lose control and crash if you do not. The video link is evidence of that. From my experience in the 182, which I fly regularly, without a crosswind the rudder needs about 15-20 pounds of right rudder on the initial takeoff roll which then relaxes a little as you gain airspeed, but then you have to put it right back in after rotation and in the initial climb especially at Vx or Vy.
One time, my foot slipped off the right rudder pedal just as I applied full power on the 182. It had been raining and my boots were wet. I must have turned 30-40 degrees to the left in about 2-3 seconds!
This is very realistic and practice will make perfect.
The product you download has no patches. All the patches must be applied separately using the patching utility.

Re: crash at take off with C172 and C182
Hi Lewis I have used the link for updating but it didn't work.
My answer to Oracle427 is that it works perfectely with FSX!
In the begining you effectively have to apply a very minimum rudder but that's it.
in P3D I tried full rudder to the right but the crash came after a few seconds.

Re: crash at take off with C172 and C182
The issue is that the patch needs to be applied. P3D made a change in v4.1 that made ground steering ineffective.
One you get the patch installed, you'll be all set.
Can you describe how the patch failed to work? Error messages, directories, etc?

Re: crash at take off with C172 and C182
Hi O.427,
thanks for your help.
could you tell me where to find this patch and how to install it?
I do not receive any error message just the effective crash of the airplane.
however when I made the installation of the A2A the system asked me to download the DirectX 9.0
I accepted and I received a Windows error message.
Although After having checked I effectively have the rigth DirectX installed.
I also have to explain that I also took flight courses on Cessna (about 20 hrs) with an instructor pilot in the Belgian air force.
this is why I am convince that something is wrong with the program.
thanks for your help.

Re: crash at take off with C172 and C182
If you don't have the patch, I agree that something is wrong! Many of us here are pilots. The simulation is very accurate, but first we need to get the technical matter sorted.
The patch is available from the sticky topic near the top of the forum titled "Accu-Sim Update 10_12_2017 DOWNLOAD"
http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 20&t=57819
Just download to your machine, unzip the files and then run the exe inside. It should find your install location and quickly apply the patch. For FSX it will take a few minutes, but for P3D, it will run very quickly. You should update both FSX and P3D and many changes have been released over the years.

Re: crash at take off with C172 and C182
So I used the link from Lewis and it appears also that the link from O.427 is the same.
In both cases, it didn't work!
The problem is coming from somewhere else.
I hope we will find the trick otherwise I can say goodbye to the 132$ spent. (C172 + C182).
This would mean a very bad publicity for the A2A products.

Re: crash at take off with C172 and C182
Hello RR - when you say "it didn't work" do you mean that you couldn't install the update, or that after installing the update the behaviour is unchanged?ramonr wrote:In both cases, it didn't work!
If it's the latter, have you checked your control assignments in P3D to make sure there's not a conflict somewhere? Have you also checked that your control surfaces move as expected when you apply control inputs?
Thanks,
Nick
Re: crash at take off with C172 and C182
Sorry if I was not clear.
When I said it didn’t work I mean that there was no changes.
The C182 continuously craches at take off.
It turns immediately to the left whatever I try to do to come back straight!
I don’t understand what you mean by « control assignent » and « control surface move as expected when... »
Sorry for my English.

Re: crash at take off with C172 and C182
Did you see a success message when the patch was executed? Did it run very quickly with a success message within a few seconds or did it proceed through various screens showing various aircraft and patches being applied or not applied?

Re: crash at take off with C172 and C182
Can you let us know what hardware you are using. Something will be different between the way you're using FSX and P3D, be it the way the hardware or mapped, or even a bad flight load often caused by a bad default flight.
thanks,
Lewis

Re: crash at take off with C172 and C182
Hi Lewis
About the hardware,
Nothing special
I use a Laptop Dell Precision under Windows 7
The grafic card is an NVIDIA
I don’t know what other details I can tell you.
I repeat again that under FSX (Steam) the C182 performs
like it should be without any problem.
About the patch (for the P3D) everything went fine with a window telling me
that the installation went fine .
For FSX I didn’t load the update since everyting was ok
