C182 & External G1000

Post by ludo1426 »

Hello,

I made a Cessna Home cockpit using G1000. I found that the Man Press. & the RPM (and not only these gauges) doesn't react on my G1000 as the A2A Gauges.
For example, the A2A RPM Gauge is at 2000 RPM and I only found 1400 RPM on my G1000. I'm using Flight1Tech Pro, but I also tried with Project Magenta Glass Cockpit G1000 and with Simionic G1000 and all of them gave me the same result.

It works perfect with the C172 & C182 Carenado but not with the A2A (I tried it with the C172 & C182 and the same issue is there). As A2A has the more realistic aircraft on P3D, I would like to use them with my Cessna Cockpit. I bought the Pro version to be sure to have all the possibility to match it with my Cockpit, but still have the issue...

Do you have any solution or does the A2A aircraft are only made to be used with Mouse and Yoke and outside of Home Cockpit ?

Thanks a lot.

Ludovic

Hello Ludovic,

we had to work outside the host sim for a lot of things in order to increase the realism and get the correct performance and simulation. Any gauges that only read the default platform variables and cannot be programmed will unfortunately be stuck reading the generic simplified values that the sim provides as default for the default level aircraft.

However if you can program the gauges for a level up in simulation fidelity, we offer full variable listings here so home simpit builders like our professional flight training partners can create full cockpits + more for use with the simulation. For the Accu-sim C182 its here;

Thanks a lot Lewis.

Do you know anyone that can develop for me a system to make the Gauges system worked with my G1000 ? (Or maybe does A2A can developp a tool for me).
I will pay the price but I can't make it alone.

Waiting for your answer

Kind regards

Ludovic

It is the other way around. The gauges need to be made to read the correct variables.

Lewis is offering the list of variables that the Flight1Tech Pro G1000 needs to be programmed to read so that it will show the correct data for the A2A aircraft. It's the same process for all the custom cockpit/panel setups. The question is if Flight1Tech offers custom programming for their panel or if they are hard coded to read only the stock FSX variables.

Thanks for your message. After talking to Flight1Tech, they are not able to developp a version of the G1000 to match with the LVAR used by A2A.
A2A tell me to speak to Flight1 and Flight1 tell me to speak with A2A...
PM tell me the same as Flight1, speak with A2A to make a "standardized" model that will match with the G1000...

Maybe you can developp something for me... ? I will pay for that, but I want something that work and not being between an Editor Battle...

Hello,

as mentioned, making it compatible would mean taking away all the fidelity of the simulation. It would be better if Flight1 could customise there GPS to work beyond the now somewhat arcade default simulation.

thanks,

Thanks for your reply Lewis. The matter is that every Editor use the same Variable for their coding (Remote Flight, Flight1, Project Magenta, FSUIPC...) so none of them want to change something and none of them want to make special developpment (I ask them and offer the price they wanted for that).

The only one that can be programmed is SPAD.Next for Saitek, and it can not be programmed for other Hardware.

So, the best would be that A2A make a small program that convert LVAR to normal informations. I don't ask to make that for all, just for the Gauges (RPM, Fuel Flow...) for the rest, everything works fine...

Waiting for your answer

Kind regards

Ludovic

Hey Ludovic the issue is you are asking us to turn the advanced simulation into a more generic arcade experience. Something that we will of course not too. Just an FYI though FSUIPC using LVars just fine as its what many simpit users use.

I guess the issue is, do you want a realistic flight simulation aircraft with realistic gauges and avionics or a relaxed realism more arcade flight simulation aircraft but with a more real GPS. I think many would prefer the realistic aircraft over the single realistic gauge. Also if you check out simpit builders and the one being created in the comanche forum you will see its very possible for even the home user to make the sim work with the simpit, similar to how our professional partners do for flight training purposes.

thanks,

Thanks Lewis,

Who could make these LVAR works with FSUIPC ? Project Magenta G1000 works using FSUIPC, but who could make a program for me ?
Maybe you know someone that knows how to program LUA ? I pay for that work, just need someone to make it...

Thanks a lot.
