Hello,

I guess you mean the parking brake?

It will disengage is the tow brakes are applied, normally caused by noisey pots on the hardware. What are you using to control these? You can get around noisey pots (nost hardward has them to some degree) by dialing in a little deadzone to the relevant axis in your FSX settings.

thanks,
Lewis

Hi.
I remember that there was a parkbrake mod you could do to make it less sensative , cannot remember if it was done in FSX.cfg file or the FSUIPC licenced version.
The only thing i can see in my FSXA win 7 set up is in the FSUIPC.ini file found in FSX\Modules , which has a line under the [General] section:-
BrakeReleaseThreshold=0
the FSUIPC.ini file can be edited with notepad.

Thanks Alan,
I dont normally use my FSUIPC except for monitoring VAS, but zeroing the brake threshold
appears to have solved the issue.
Thanks for your promt reply Lewis.

Oh! spoke too soon , still have this issue ,,,be it a small one, the parking brake on the 182 is rather sensitive,
unlike the 172 & Commanche which behave normally.

Add a little more deadzone, the effects will be the same for all aircraft btw.

Thank you Lewis, have increased the null zone on the brakes and seems to have solved the issue.
